2. Baylor needs to finish better in the fourth quarter

The Bears have not trailed an opponent by more than seven points entering the final quarter of action in any of their five games. However, the fourth quarter has not been friendly to them at all and has likely cost them a chance at becoming bowl eligibility.

Kansas State was favored to win this game but the fact that this was a close one should surprise no one. Baylor has brought its best effort to the table in each game they have played in. Just ask the No. 3 Oklahoma Sooners.

It could be more interesting when Baylor faces Big 12 opponents like the Iowa State Cyclones and Kansas Jayhawks, that should finish closer to the bottom of the conference standings. Winning any Big 12 game will be a big step forward for the Bears.

It is only a matter of time before Baylor finally puts a huge performance in to end a game. The lack of depth, inexperience, or lack of offensive versatility could be catching up with them also. We’ll figure that out in the coming weeks.
