ESPN College GameDay Week 5 live stream: Watch online
By Tim Kaiser
Here’s how to stream college football’s premier pregame show, College GameDay, as they broadcast live from Blacksburg for Clemson vs. Virginia Tech.
Last week was certainly a unique College GameDay. The decision to broadcast from New York City was much discussed and criticized. The show itself received, at best, mixed reviews. As a general rule, the more avid a fan you were of GameDay and the farther you lived from Manhattan the more you detested the gimmick. This week they are getting back to the basics. GameDay is headed to the stereotypical college town Blacksburg, Virginia to feature No. 2 Clemson against the 12th-ranked Hokies.
This is College GameDay’s first time in Blacksburg since the season opener in 2007. ESPN brought the show to Virginia Tech for the first football game on campus after the shooting that spring. This will be Virginia Tech’s sixth time hosting the show. The Hokies have been featured 14 times total. The previous four times they were at a neutral site. The last time was the “Battle at Bristol” last season against Tennessee.
With success comes GameDay, and Clemson has been one of the two most successful programs of the last few years. Unsurprisingly, they have shown up on College GameDay a ton in that time. They are tied with Alabama for eight appearances in the last 42 shows. The Tigers were featured two weeks ago when they went to Louisville.
Lee Corso should actually be picking a team this week. Virginia Tech has proven lucky for him. He has never incorrectly picked a headgear game in which the Hokies were involved. Corso has already picked against Clemson once this season, and they burned him.
Here’s how to watch Week 5’s College GameDay online:
Matchup: No. 2 Clemson vs. No. 12 Virginia Tech

Will Corso remain undefeated picking the Hokies? Or, will the dominant Clemson defense be too enticing to pass up?
