3. Any Daniel Jones hype will cease to exist

Duke quarterback Daniel Jones had himself quite the first four games to start the year. Moreover, this was the only contest since Duke’s game against the Baylor Bears that Jones was held out of the end zone completely.

Jones totaled seven touchdowns through the first two weeks against NC Central and Northwestern. If the Blue Devils were to continue to prove themselves in the ACC, it would have had to be sparked by Jones.

The Duke ground game did not do much as they were held well under 200 yards and did not score a single touchdown either. The Blue Devils only managed six points, coming on two field goals. The offense has trouble moving the ball against Miami all night.

Duke should still be a lock for a bowl game this year as they have already won four games. However, the concerns we might have with the way Jones is trending right now does not put the Blue Devils in a good spot.
