2) No. 24 Mississippi State Bulldogs @ No. 13 Auburn Tigers

Sept. 30, 6:00pm ET, ESPN

The No. 13 Auburn Tigers should be on upset alert this week, although their 51-14 road victory over the Missouri Tigers last week was pretty impressive.

The 24th-ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs are another team looking to redeem themselves in SEC play in Week 5. They fell 31-3 to No. 11 Georgia in Week 4 after upsetting the 12th-ranked LSU Tigers in Week 3.

Bulldogs quarterback Nick Fitzgerald didn’t have his greatest game against Georgia. He had 83 passing yards and two interceptions on 14-of-29 passing (48.3 percent). It was also the first game he was held to no rushing touchdowns.

The Tigers defense ranks seventh in the FBS (11.2 ppg) and is allowing 97.5 rushing yards per game through Week 4. It makes for a solid matchup as the Bulldogs average 267.5 rushing yards per game on offense.

Mississippi State has won three of the last five meetings against the Auburn Tigers. It is their third-straight game against a ranked opponent. Auburn won last year’s meeting 38-14.
