Washington football notched its second win over a Pac-12 opponent this season with the Week 5 victory over the Oregon State Beavers on the road.

No. 6 Washington football took to the field for one of the first Pac-12 games on tap for the Huskies against the Oregon State Beavers. It will be one of the easier matchups for the Huskies before they get into the thick of the Pac-12 slate.

Meanwhile, head coach Gary Anderson and the Beavers are still trying to find their way through a tough 2017 schedule. Since the season opening loss to the Colorado State Rams, things have not gotten much easier for Oregon State.

Washington head coach Chris Peterson is proving that he is one of the best in college football. What he was able to do with the Boise State Broncos and how he is making UW a national powerhouse is a tremendous job.

Pay attention to Boise State right now and see what head coach Bryan Harsin is doing compared to what Peterson did. The Huskies are in position right now to be the sole favorite to win the Pac-12 Championship again.

Last year, Washington was the surprise winner of the Pac-12 Title. Since the upset of the USC Trojans by the Washington State Cougars, the Huskies are now established as the clear favorite to win the conference. The Apple Cup will determine a lot.

Almost every area of the stat sheet was lopsided toward the Huskies. They outpaced Oregon State in passing yards, rushing yards, and turnovers. Most of that was expected in this matchup.

Now, let’s take a look at three takeaways from Washington’s win over Oregon State in Week 5.
