Alabama Football absolutely crushed, dismantled, destroyed, blasted and decimated the Ole Miss rebels. Yes, they are as good as advertised.
When the clock struck zero at the College Football Playoff National Championship game it was Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers that raised the trophy in victory. That happened eight months ago, but Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban hasn’t forgotten. His team just finished a two-week run the likes we haven’t seen any time in recent memory.
Alabama is playing angry, and that’s something nobody else in the SEC is ready for right now. The Tide went on the road two weeks ago and shut out Vanderbilt 59-0. They weren’t perfect against Ole Miss in Week 5, they surrendered one first quarter field goal. Then they went on to beat the Rebels 66-3.
That’s right. In the span of two weeks Nick Saban has beaten two SEC teams by a combined score of 125-3. It doesn’t matter if they were the cream of the crop or the also-rans. This level of dominance is unprecedented and borderline inexpiable. LSU lost to Troy on Saturday. Saban won by 63.
Other than reaffirming just how masterful Saban’s war machine has become, what were the biggest takeaways from another Alabama victory on their continued march to an SEC Championship and beyond?
