Dante Booker played a solid game for the Buckeyes defense against Rutgers last night. His early interception was a momentum-changing play that ended up being crucial to the shutout.

Booker contributed 4 tackles on the night, including 2 tackles for loss. One of the tackles for loss was a sack.

After battling injuries of late, this game proved to be, in a way, a breakout game for Booker. He needed this game to get over the hump and solidify himself as a force on the defense.

The potential Booker has to impact games was apparent last night. Looking back at this game should do wonders for his confidence. Expect him to keep making plays on defense, whether it be in the backfield or helping out in coverage.

He will be a player to watch for the Buckeyes as Big Ten play continues. Booker definitely earned himself a game ball after helping to shutout Rutgers.
