Week 5 was full of impressive performances and teams were rewarded with movement in the AP Poll. Here’s a look at this week’s AP Poll winners and losers.

The AP Poll results are out and after another exciting week of college football, here’s a look at the aftermath. The Washington State Cougars and Georgia Bulldogs seem to be the biggest stories of the week after impressive victories in conference play.

The Cougars upset the USC Trojans to get their first victory over the Trojans since 2014. The Georgia Bulldogs pitched a shutout against the Tennessee Volunteers, 41-0.

The top four teams in the AP Poll remained steady after all earning victories. The Alabama Crimson Tide ran over the Ole Miss Rebels, 66-3. Clemson made easy work of the Virginia Tech Hokies, 31-17. Penn State defeated Indiana 45-14.

The Washington Huskies won their game 42-7 over Oregon State but were leapfrogged by the Georgia Bulldogs in the AP Poll.

17 teams remain undefeated in the FBS but there’s still one disappointment. The LSU Tigers fell at home to the Troy Trojans, 24-21. Things have been a bit rocky in Baton Rouge since head coach Les Miles was fired. It seems like the ship has tipped over completely.

In total, two SEC teams fell out of the AP Poll in Week 6. The other team was the Mississippi State Bulldogs after their 49-10 loss to Auburn.

Here’s a look at this week’s results.
