In Week 5, Penn State defeated the Indiana Hoosiers in impressive fashion while honoring Generations of Greatness. Here are five overreactions from the game.

Penn State’s Week 5 game was an absolute victory in all three phases of the game.

After surviving their Week 4 game against the Iowa Hawkeyes by the skin of their collective teeth, the Nittany Lions returned to Happy Valley with a chip on their shoulders and blew past an under-matched Indiana squad in impressive fashion.

After scoring only two touchdowns against Iowa the previous week, James Franklin’s squad came alive with six total touchdowns in front of their home crowd, four on offense, one on defense and one on a 98-yard kick return for a touchdown by Saquon Barkley.

While this season’s Indiana squad isn’t going to make anyone forget about the Alabamas and Clemsons of the college football world any time soon, it’s promising that Penn State was able to defeat an opponent that they were supposed to defeat with relative ease, and their undefeated streak lives to fight for another week.

With Week 5 now firmly planted in the rear-view mirror, the Nittany Lions must now turn their attention to their Week 6 opponent, the Northwestern Wildcats and their star running back Justin Jackson. While Northwestern currently sits firmly in the middle of the Big Ten West standings with a two-and-two record after four games, the team has defeated Penn State in in their last two bouts, and could do so again in front of their home crowd.

Even though watching a game with a critical eye is important, sometimes it’s important to revel in the little things of a game, so here are five complete overreactions to Penn State’s Week 5 victory over Indiana.
