With the first month of college football now behind us, where do the Big Ten football teams sit in the Week 6 power rankings?

The last week of September did not bring many surprises, at least not in the Big Ten. It was the first full week this season of conference games with six games in total.

Maryland was probably the biggest surprise. Down to their third string quarterback, the Terps went on the road and beat the previously undefeated Minnesota. The other conference games basically went according to plan, although there was some excitement in them.

Even the Penn State game, which, if you looked at only the final score appeared to be a blowout, was fairly close for much of the contest. Still, there remains a hierarchy among the Big Ten that gets further cemented with each passing week.

We are starting to see a definite divide between the bad teams at the bottom, some mediocre teams in the middle and the top four teams have basically remained the same since the beginning of the season. However will there be a new top team this week? Read on to find out.
