Clemson football is off to a hot start to the 2017 season and here are five bold predictions for the month of October.

A month into the season, and once again we sit with Clemson football battling for the top spot in the nation. The defending national champions have picked up right where they left off, knocking off three highly-ranked opponents and sporting a 5-0 record.

But as we all know, October seems to be a month filled with craziness and upsets.

A year ago, the Tigers and Dabo Swinney navigated through the Halloween month with four wins, including a victory over Louisville, a thrashing at Boston College, a miraculous overtime win vs. North Carolina State and a three-point victory vs. ACC rival Florida State.

Back in 2015 when they finished as runners-up to Alabama, Clemson went 5-0 during October, highlighted by a goal-line stand to defeat Notre Dame.

This time, the Tigers have just three games to get through to November, as they host Wake Forest, travel to Syracuse on Friday the 13th and host Georgia Tech. None of those three are currently ranked, but that doesn’t mean the road is clear of speed bumps.

Here’s five bold predictions for Clemson as they head into October with another realistic shot at a national championship:
