1. Jim Mora, UCLA

UCLA head coach Jim Mora’s seat was scorching going into the 2017 college football season until the impossible happened. The Bruins were able to pull off one of the biggest comebacks in college football history in Week 1 against Texas A&M. Since then, the Bruins have went 2-2 Mora has found himself on the hot seat yet again.

Coming off an embarrassing 4-8 season, UCLA is now 7-10 in their last 17 games. The fans in Los Angeles are becoming restless and are looking for more out of their hometown squad. Mora began his tenure at UCLA on a hot streak but it has seemed like the program has been stuck in an ice age since.

In reality, if UCLA wasn’t able to make that comeback in week one, Mora would have the number one spot locked up in the hot seat rankings. Rosen and the Bruins looked like they were finally clicking. Then, they lost to Memphis and dropped their first conference game against Stanford. The Bruins cannot afford to waste another year with a star behind the center.

They were able to escape last week’s nail-biter against Colorado and they will need to continue to win if Mora wants to keep his job in Los Angeles. The Bruins will take on another conference contender when they meet up against the struggling Arizona Wildcats this weekend. UCLA will simply have to get the job done or the season could continue to avalanche and Mora may find himself doomed.
