Louisville Football: 3 bold predictions vs. NC State in Week 6
By Dana Becker
1. The bright lights will suit Lamar Jackson just fine
It’s hard to remember a time when fans weren’t checking boxes each week to see what Lamar Jackson did this time.
Jackson might be a product of his own incredible play, as many have already written him off after a less-than-stellar performance vs. Clemson earlier this year.
That would be a huge mistake.
Jackson remains one of the elite athletes in all of college football and you can bet he has been waiting to get another crack at “showing out” on prime-time. The reigning Heisman winner has thrown for 1,636 yards and rushed for another 437.
He has 13 touchdowns passing and five more on the ground, and is completing 64 percent of his throws with just three picks.
Jackson is over 400 yards of total offense per game at 414, which is actually higher than he finished with last year at 393 per game.
The junior, though, hasn’t had that “Heisman” moment, but Saturday night would make a perfect time for it.
Expect Jackson to reach well over 400 yards combined passing and rushing, and help keep the scoreboard operator busy in Raleigh, N.C.

And it isn’t like Louisville has been struggling. Outside of 21 points vs. Clemson in a loss, they have scored at least 35 each week, including 97 the last two in wins over Kent State and Murray State.
