In the biggest Big 12 matchup of the weekend West Virginia football hits the road to face the TCU Horned Frogs at Amon G. Carter Stadium.

The West Virginia Mountaineers take on the TCU Horned Frogs in one of the biggest matchups of Week 6 of the 2017 college football season. Both West Virginia and TCU are still alive in the hunt for the Big 12 Championship and the College Football Playoff.

West Virginia started the Big 12 slate with a 56-34 victory over the Kansas Jayhawks. Things ramp up a bit against the No. 8 team in the AP Poll in the Frogs. This is the toughest opponent the Mountaineers have faced since they lost to the No. 16 Virginia Tech Hokies in Week 1.

TCU has more momentum than almost any team in the Big 12 after their win two weeks ago against then ranked No. 6 Oklahoma State Cowboys on the road. Defeating a top 10 team at Boone Pickens Stadium is not something that slips by the wayside in terms of national attention garnered.

A huge challenge for West Virginia will be stopping TCU running back Darius Anderson. So far, Anderson has been the leader of this TCU rushing attack even over presumed starter Kyle Hicks. Anderson has been hard to stop for any front seven.

This game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. EST on Fox Sports 1. It is one of the best games of Week 6 and any college football fan looking for an entertaining offensive matchup should tune in to this one. Chances are, one of these teams will be in the Big 12 Championship Game.

Now, let’s take a look at five reasons the West Virginia Mountaineers will defeat the TCU Horned Frogs in Week 6.
