The hot seat keeps gets warmer for Arkansas football coach Bret Bielema whose team is set to take on South Carolina in Week 6.

Arkansas and South Carolina are going head to head this week in Columbia. The Hogs are coming off of a cupcake win against New Mexico State while South Carolina, however, is coming off a close loss to Texas A&M. A team Arkansas also had a close loss to as well, earlier in the year.

To really get an idea of what this game is going to look like, I am looking at each performance against Texas A&M for the most part. The reason being that it’s an improving team that each faced at different points in the season but it shows a lot about the Razorbacks and Gamecocks.

Frankly, Texas A&M did not start out the season well with a 1-point loss to UCLA in their season opener. Since then, however, they haven’t lost a game. They also played Arkansas and then, after a bye-week, the Gamecocks, beating both by 7 points.

As close as it was for both, there are stark differences that I think are going to end up showing to be the difference makers in this game. Is Bret Bielema going to get his first Power 5 win and an elusive SEC win? Or will the Gamecocks show Arkansas the same treatment most other SEC teams do? Here are three predictions from myself on exactly this.
