1. Riley Ferguson can really sling the rock

If you watch quarterback Riley Ferguson on a consistent basis, sometimes he can make you scratch your head, but other times impresses you with the guts he has throwing the ball. Against UConn he only impressed, his partner in crime had over 200 yards receiving somebody had to throw it to him right?

Yes, and it was Ferguson. He went 26-for-37 passing for 325 yards and five touchdowns in the first half. Yeah, it was a video game for the senior from Matthews, N.C. He finished 34-for-48 passing for 431 yards and seven touchdowns. He tied a season high with seven touchdowns and he didn’t play most of the second half so he could’ve possibly increased on those numbers if the staff wasn’t trying to protect their star quarterback.

Imagine if he played the whole game, what would his final numbers have been? He was super impressive Friday night on the road, playing a team they should’ve beaten and they didn’t take them for granted.

People expected Ferguson to have a good game, but nobody expected it to be one for the ages. UConn had no answer for the signal caller and he stayed in cruise control all night. Ferguson to Miller almost automatically means touchdown for Memphis fans.
