Texas A&M football has been known to start hot and fizzle out as the season winds down. They are hoping to change that as they head into October.

The Aggies have been up and down the entirety of Kevin Sumlin’s tenor. They have started undefeated or something close to it only for everything to come crashing down in October or November. The downfall normally begins after Alabama week, something that Texas A&M is hoping to avoid this season.

After a crushing loss to UCLA to open the season, the Aggies have gone on a four game win streak. However, they now enter the toughest part of their schedule, the bulk of SEC play. This month they will face the likes of Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi State.

While the Bulldogs are struggling, the other two have found a groove all their own. This will be a tough month for the Aggies to say the least. To stay competitive in the division, they will need to win at least 2 of the 3 match ups presented.

With a young offense and a defense who is still figuring it out, Texas A&M has a long way to go to be a true contender. The team needs to find consistency and a few stars along the way to a hopeful post season birth. However, for now, all they can do is take it one week at a time.

Here are my five bold predictions for the month of October.
