UCLA football enters October with a 3-2 record and hopes of a Pac-12 title. Here are five bold predictions for what the next month holds in store for the Bruins.

UCLA opened the year with a wild fourth-quarter comeback to take down Texas A&M, as Josh Rosen reintroduced himself to a national audience. They moved to 2-0 after dominating Hawaii. But losses on the road to Memphis and Stanford ended the longshot dreams of a perfect season. A return to the Rose Bowl changed UCLA’s fortunes, as the Bruins took down defending Pac-12 South champs Colorado to stem their losing streak and enter October with a winning record.

Entering 2017, the UCLA Bruins was just hoping to get back to bowl eligibility after a rough 2016 season. Expectations have increased a bit after the Bruins made it halfway to bowl eligibility in the month of September. Jim Mora’s team has every reason to shoot even higher over the next few months.

That all begins with a light October schedule. The Bruins are taking their bye week on the first weekend of the month. Coming out of the break, UCLA plays Arizona State and Washington on the road. Those two contests are sandwiched around a visit to Pasadena by Oregon.
