2. The Arkansas offense is in trouble

The Arkansas offense has come and gone in spurts this year. However, one thing has remained constant. The fact that the Hogs cannot do much of anything against Power Five competition (barring 43 points against Texas A&M), is very concerning.

Senior quarterback Austin Allen is having trouble throwing more touchdowns than interceptions, and it’s costing Arkansas in terms of keeping momentum on their side. The entire offense did not get in rhythm at all in the second half.

Once South Carolina started to pull away in the third quarter on a 17-0 run, Arkansas had no answers. And, this is not the first time this has happened either. Arkansas only managed seven points against a solid defense for the TCU Horned Frogs.

The ground game is supposed to be the backbone of this offense. However, no Arkansas running back got even close to eclipsing the 50-yard mark. Senior running back David Williams led the Hogs in rushing and had one of only two rushing touchdowns for the Hogs.
