Everything is bigger in Texas, at least that’s how the saying goes. College football fans in the Lone Star State were treated to their first taste of a College GameDay atmosphere in Week 6. With the West Virginia Mountaineers visiting Fort Worth, the College GameDay crew headed south from last week’s visit to Blacksburg, Virginia to see Virginia Tech and Clemson.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State were expected to be 1A and 1B in the Big 12 race this year. After the Horned Frogs upset the Pokes in Stillwater, however, TCU officially threw their hat in the ring. Hosting fellow Top 25 team West Virignia makes for a worthy College GameDay selection.

In addition to the regulars, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and Lee Corso, one new face joined the set to make picks on Saturday. The College GameDay Week 5 guest picker is Tim McGraw.

McGraw is the latest in a great line of guest pickers that have visited the set in 2017. Sam Hunt, the Week 1 guest, still leads the pack with eight of nine correct picks. Since then the guest pickers have included Eddie George (Week 2), Rick Pitino (Week 3), Keegan-Michael Key (Week 4), and Bruce Smith (Week 5).
