Losing to Oklahoma sparked a quarterback debate among Ohio State football fans. Here’s why J.T. Barrett should not be in danger of losing his job.

Opponents in the weeks following the loss have been much inferior to the Ohio State Buckeyes. They don’t as accurately portray the offensive difficulties that have been preset this year.

Despite the arguments in favor of a change, it won’t happen. Urban Meyer even said it himself following the Oklahoma game, which is when it would’ve been easiest to consider.

J.T. Barrett has been Ohio State’s quarterback for the majority of the past four seasons. His journey has been highlighted by many ups and downs. He’s going to be the guy for the rest of the season, like it or not.

He brings a lot of experience to the table and separates the known from the unknown. The unknown, of course, being substituting in Dwayne Haskins or Joe Burrow. These two young quarterbacks each have great ability, but neither of them has played at a critical time.
