USC football will host Oregon State in Week 6, looking to rebound from a Washington State loss. Here are three bold predictions.

The life of a USC football fan can’t be easy. The Trojans are constantly tabbed to win the Pac-12, but early-season losses seem to plague them. However, the loss to Washington State in Week 5 won’t cost the Trojans a playoff appearance but rather some early positioning in the AP poll.

USC will have a nice rebound opportunity against Oregon State in Los Angeles in Week 6. The Beavers have won just a single game this season in five opportunities and the Trojans are waiting to add to their win total against Gary Andersen’s hapless squad.

A win here won’t exactly put the Trojans back in the title conversation, but it will instill some confidence after a heartbreaking loss to Mike Leach’s Cougars in Pullman. Let’s take a look at three bold predictions for the Saturday afternoon Pac-12 matchup.

3. Ronald Jones II rushes for over 150 yards

After a strong start to the season which included two consecutive 100-yard performances, Ronald Jones II had a rough go in his third game, rushing for just 47 yards and 18 carries versus Texas. He looked pedestrian in the contest and failed to reach the end zone after scoring at least two touchdowns in each of his first two games.

Jones II was then sidelined in a Week 4 victory over California before making a comeback against Washington State in Week 5. He bounced back in a big way, rushing for 128 yards and a touchdown on 9.1 yards per touch. He proved he was back with no health issues.

After picking up some momentum during last week’s loss against Washington State, expect Jones II to go off against one of the worst defenses in the country. Oregon State allows over 200 rushing yards per game and nearly 500 yards of total offense per week, so expect Jones II to take advantage of that. He will go for over 150 yards and three touchdowns in a blowout win. Oh yeah, and he’ll average over 10 yards per touch.
