The AP Poll was shaken up a bit in Week 7 as some top teams took losses in Week 6. Here’s a look at this week’s AP Poll winners and losers.

The Week 6 slate of games got off to a bit of a slow start, but things changed in a hurry when the afternoon schedule began. The Oklahoma Sooners were one team that went unscathed in the loss column in the noon games. Their 38-31 loss to the Iowa State Cyclones put a damper in their College Football Playoff hopes.

Next to the Sooners, the Michigan Wolverines were another top team that fell in Week 6. Their 14-10 loss to the Michigan State Spartans exposed a lot of holes in both their offense and defense as they get Big Ten play underway.

The Utah Utes, Florida Gators and Louisville Cardinals were three other teams to lose in the AP Top 25. The Utes lost to the Stanford Cardinal, 23-20. Stanford running back Bryce Love ran for 152 yards and a touchdown in the defeat.

The Gators fell to the unranked LSU Tigers, 17-16. Florida was unable to stage a comeback after trailing 17-3 at halftime. A missed PAT kept the Gators from tying things up in the third quarter and they were unable to score again after that.

The Cardinals took their second loss of the season and second in ACC play after falling to the 24th-ranked NC State Wolfpack, 39-25 on Thursday night. Quarterback Lamar Jackson was sacked four times and threw a pick-six in another ugly loss for Louisville. They’re currently 1-2 in ACC play.

Things look to be shifting in the AP Poll rankings as we approach the halfway point of the season. Here’s a look at this week’s AP Poll winners and losers.
