The ACC saw some of its top teams clash in Week 5. See how the result effect this week’s edition of ACC power rankings.

Unfortunately, last week’s power rankings took an unforeseen hiatus, but this week, we’re back to cover ACC Football in all of its greatness.

Parity makes the world go round, at least that’s the motto in the ACC power rankings as the NC State Wolfpack continue to climb into the top five. They defeated the Louisville Cardinals 39-25 on Thursday night to show they’re a force in the ACC Atlantic.

The Virginia Cavaliers also got their first victory of the ACC season, defeating the Duke Blue Devils 28-21 in a back-and-forth battle. Bronco Mendenhall seems to have found a working formula as the Cavaliers are currently 4-1.

The Miami Hurricanes and Florida State Seminoles delivered once again in their annual rivalry game as it took a touchdown in the final seconds for Miami to pull off the 24-20 victory on the road.

Two undefeated teams remain in the ACC as we’re halfway through the season schedule. It wasn’t a bad week to be an ACC football team unless you’re Pittsburgh, Boston College or North Carolina. All three teams remain winless in conference play with a little over half of the games left to play.

As conference play begins to ramp up in Week 7, here’s a look at this week’s power rankings.
