Perfect replacement for Browning

What a perfect homecoming for Eason to get himself back onto the field should he decide to transfer to Washington.

First, the Huskies are still likely to have Jake Browning for another season while Eason redshirts due to transfer rules. Being a Washington native, the opportunity to play closer to home with family and friends around should weigh heavily on his mind.

Obviously, Eason had Washington on his short list prior to deciding on Georgia. He finished his prep career in the state with 9,813 yards passing, 102 touchdowns and just 18 interceptions. Those numbers included a senior season in which he passed for 3,585 yards and had a 43-to-6 touchdown-to-INT ratio.

Along with Browning, the Huskies also have redshirt junior K.J. Carta-Samuels, redshirt freshman Daniel Bridge-Gadd and true freshman Jake Haener.

Should Browning stay and Eason arrive, there would be no drop-off for the Huskies, who appear to be a constant contender under Chris Petersen.
