4. Devine Ozigbo continues to impress

Nebraska entered the game thin at running back. Early-season starter Tre Bryant continues to be sidelined with a bum knee, and Mikale Wilbon was hobbled this week with an ankle injury and was available on in an emergency situation.

That left Ozigbo to carry the load, and he proved up to the task. The junior carried 23 times for 112 yards. Many of those yards came after contact, between the tackles, as Nebraska amassed 101 of those rushing yards in the first half.

Ozigbo’s touches were limited in the second half, due to Wisconsin holding a huge edge in time of possession. Nebraska ran only 19 plays in the final two quarters, and failed to score an offensive touchdown.

Saturday marked the third straight game Ozigbo has reached the century mark. 96 of his 112 yards against the Badgers came in the first half.

Nebraska has issues on offense, but they may have found their man to tote the rock. Ozigbo’s consistency the past three weeks should speak volumes moving forward.
