Texas A&M football played a hard-fought game against the Tide. The Aggies didn’t win, but did show a lot of promise for the rest of the season.
The Tide has rolled past their SEC opponents so far this season 125-3 in two games. Those numbers alone had Aggie fans shaking in their boots at what could await them. Alabama was favored by over 26 points coming into a Saturday night showdown at Kyle Field. They came out victorious, but it was only by one possession. In a game that was predicted to be a blow out of epic proportions, the Aggies showed up and fought hard.
But most of all, as captain Cullen Gillaspia says below, the boys played with heart till the clock hit zero. That is something the Aggies haven’t seen in quite awhile and is definitely something to build on.

Overall, it definitely did come down to turnovers — something the Aggies had too many of at the worst times. However, the forced two of their own and found a way to stand toe to toe with the top team in the country.
Freshman quarterback Kellen Mond showed strength and promise throughout the game — evading sacks and tackles to find his receivers. This team has all of the elements to make it far this season, especially after such a close loss. The question now remains, what will the Aggies do with the talent they have.
We can sit here and talk about the future for hours on end, but for now lets focus on Saturday night. Here are five overreactions for the Aggies during their match up with the Tide.
