Ohio State Football: Preview, prediction, live stream vs. Nebraska in Week 7
Ohio State football seems to have found their stride on both sides of the ball and will look to continue their hot streak at Nebraska.
The Ohio State Buckeyes started the season off with a lot of questions and lingering issues, but since the team’s loss at home to Oklahoma in week two, the Buckeyes have been dominating the game on both sides of the ball.
Since the 31-16 loss to the Sooners, the Buckeyes have outscored their opponents by a total of 210-42. Granted, there really has not been any tough tests during that time, but this explosive showing has been just what the Buckeyes needed to get their confidence back to where it should be.
For Nebraska, the team is coming off a tough home loss at the hands of the Wisconsin Badgers, a game they had tied in the third quarter. For those who are fans of weird statistics, it was the Huskers’ first loss ever on the date of Oct. 7 and snapped a double-digit win streak in night games at home.
The Cornhuskers will be hoping to avoid a similar pattern as last year. Of course, Nebraska started off the season undefeated in their first several games and were highly ranked before losing a heartbreaker to Wisconsin, followed by a blowout loss to Ohio State. If there is any optimism moving forward for the Huskers is that they will have another high-level night game on Saturday when the Buckeyes come into town.
Date: Saturday, Oct. 14

Keys to Victory
This will be just the third meeting between the two teams since the Huskers joined the Big Ten in 2011, and in both of Ohio State’s victories in the last two matchups, the Buckeyes have scored over 60 points in each instance.
With that being said, the main key for Nebraska is keeping their defense off the field. Quarterback Tanner Lee looked good against the Badgers last weekend and may have found a new comfort level with his mobility. It is important the Huskers get into third and manageable situations so that they have a higher conversion rate, thus keeping the Buckeyes off the field.
For the Buckeyes, they have to be lickin’ their chops after watching Wisconsin run all over Nebraska last Saturday. J.K. Dobbins and J.T. Barrett will look to get it going early on the ground and take some pressure off the young Buckeyes receivers. If Ohio State can establish the ground game early, it could be a long ride for the Huskers.
Prediction
The Huskers appeared to lay it all on the field last Saturday against the Badgers and saw a promising second half go south in a hurry. It has to be hard to bounce back from a loss like that and face one of the more explosive offenses in the country.

Barrett and company pick up here they left off and cruise to an early two touchdown lead in the first half, wearing down the Huskers defense yet again. Dobbins comes close to pulling a “Jonathan Taylor” from last week and runs all over Nebraska in the second half.
Final score: Ohio State 45, Nebraska 20
