There are not as many intriguing games on the Week 7 college football schedule, but there is always a chance that there will be some good games

Upsets are bound to happen in Week 7 with many of the games having close point spreads, provided by Sportsbook Review. The games may not be as enticing this week. There is not there a single ranked vs. ranked match-up in Week 7, but this is college football. Every week seems to have exciting games that surprise.

In Week 6, it was the closest week so far this year to picking all five upsets. In the end, only two of my picks went down, with Louisville losing to NC State last Thursday night and Florida dropping a close one to LSU. The other three upset picks played really close games, all games decided by seven points or less.

This week was tough to decide as I went through about ten match-ups, but narrowed it down to five. There is sure to be some close games and an upset or two in the bunch. Let’s get to the picks.

The Miami Hurricanes, fresh off their first victory against rival Florida State since 2009, look to remain undefeated when they face Georgia Tech Saturday afternoon. The Hurricanes are six\-point favorites.

The win against the Seminoles was costly as the Hurricanes lost starting running back Mark Walton for the rest of the season with an ankle injury. Sophomore Travis Homer will now step into the role and in limited action does have a 8.1 yards per rush average while carrying the ball 25 times. The pressure will really be on quarterback Malik Rosier to step up his game.

Georgia Tech is on a three-game winning streak since their opening week loss against Tennessee. The Yellow Jackets have been running it down the throats of their opponents and will look to do the same against Miami.  The Hurricanes rush defense has given up 152 yards per game on the ground, good for 66th in the country. Look for that average to increase in this game.

Georgia Tech’s defense is also one of the better ones in the country so the Hurricanes may struggle to sustain drives. I’m liking the Yellow Jackets chances to leave Miami Gardens with a big conference victory.
