Week 7 of the college football season is here and that means it’s time for some Louisville football midseason position-by-position grades.

We have reached the midseason point of the college football season and I decided to take a look at the Louisville Cardinals. They are currently not ranked in the Top 25 after holding steadly in the rankings for the first five weeks. Louisville is currently 4-2 overall. Check out the position rankings as of now.

A. . QB. Louisville. QUARTERBACK

Junior quarterback Lamar Jackson is the Louisville offense; he is the most dynamic and exciting player in college football. Honestly, his skill set masks a lot of this teams deficiencies. Because of the play on defense Jackson has to play super exceptional every game, especially in the big games or they have no chance to win.

For the most part he has held up to his end of the bargain, you really can’t ask a player to do more, but because of the few turnovers his overall grade will be docked because you have to be fair.

Jackson has thrown for 1,990 yards on 138-of-222 passing which is a 62 percent completion rate, as of now it is a six percent increase from last year, I know we are only half way through the season, but that is impressive. He has 14 passing touchdowns, four interceptions, but he has been sacked 12 times. Not only is he the leader of the passing game, he is the leading rusher with 510 yards and seven touchdowns on 91 carries.

He is a special talent and the only reason he is getting dinged is because the turnovers he had in the two losses the team has had this season.
