The chances that Baylor football defeats the Oklahoma State Cowboys is slim, but they do need to continue showing signs of improvement in Stillwater, Okla.
Baylor football hits the road to face the No. 14 Oklahoma State Cowboys at Boone Pickens Stadium in Week 7. It could be a chance for the Bears to pull off one of the biggest upsets of the season, even more so than the Oklahoma Sooners losing to the Iowa State Cyclones.
The Bears have at least been competitive in most games they’ve played in this season. Even in Baylor’s loss to OU, they were only defeated by an eight-point margin. In Baylor’s last loss to the Kansas State Wildcats, it took senior quarterback Jesse Ertz until late in the second half to seal the victory.
Meanwhile, Oklahoma State looks motivated to put its loss to the TCU Horned Frogs in the past with a big win over the Texas Tech Red Raiders in Week 5. Last week, both Oklahoma State and Baylor had bye weeks to prepare for this matchup.
The last three times that these two teams have met have resulted in pretty convincing wins for Baylor. Oklahoma State has not beat Baylor since they faced each other in the national spotlight, with ESPN’s College GameDay in Stillwater, Okla., back in 2013.
This should be the first time that the Pokes defeat Baylor in four years since they are favored by 26-points. Yet, a 26-point victory would be very impressive for Oklahoma State considering how close Baylor played OU and Kansas State.
Now, let’s take a look at five reasons that the Baylor Bears will lose to the Oklahoma State Cowboys in Week 7.
