Arkansas Football: Alabama mercilessly slaughters Hogs
There was never really any hope for Arkansas football against Alabama in Week 7. Other that the Tide being elite, what did we learn in their Week 7 bout.
Alabama, fresh off a road victory in College Station, is on a collision course for the SEC Championship Game. Their primary competition in the SEC West, Auburn, was upset by a LSU team that lost to Troy a few weeks ago. That leaves Alabama as the clear-cut favorite in the SE, at least until they square off with Georgia in the SEC Championship Game.
Arkansas was beaten 48-22 by South Carolina last weekend. The Gamecocks did beat Tennessee on Saturday, but the Vol’s haven’t picked up an SEC win yet. That’s not exactly a high bar to leap.
Without their starting quarterback Austin Allen the Razorbacks hit the road to play the No. 1 team in the nation. The game ended just as well as you would have expected. Arkansas, now 2-4 (0-3 SEC) has become the latest in a long line of victims of the Alabama football machine.
Alabama is the elite of the college football elite. They didn’t have to exert much of an effort to crush Arkansas on Saturday. We didn’t learn much about the Tide, but here are three things we did learn about the Hogs in their 41-9 loss to the Crimson Tide on Saturday.
