Georgia football will host Missouri in a Week 7 SEC battle and here’s everything you need to know.

Is there a hotter team in college football right now than Georgia? The Bulldogs have been mowing through opponents lately and even have a quality road win over an improved Notre Dame team. The closest game in the past four weeks for the Bulldogs has been a 28-point win over No. 17 Mississippi State.

Kirby Smart has these guys playing at a high level, even with a freshman quarterback under center. Jacob Eason was injured early in the season and Jake Fromm was forced into action right away. The freshman has passed for 836 yards, 10 touchdowns and two picks on just 96 attempts. Nick Chubb and Sony Michel have been a dynamic duo in the backfield to help him out.

Oh yeah, and that Georgia defense isn’t too shabby, either. In fact, it ranks third in the nation in yards allowed per game.

Missouri, on the other hand, has been mediocre this season, at best. The Tigers are just 1-4 and their only win was in the opener against Missouri State. The only loss for this team by less than 18 points was last week against Kentucky. Will Drew Lock and Co. be able to hang tight against the Bulldogs?

This one might get ugly even with Missouri’s offense being surprisingly effective, yardage-wise.

Here’s how to watch Saturday’s Georgia vs Missouri game:

Date: Saturday, Oct. 14
Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
Location: Athens, Ga.
Venue: Sanford Stadium
TV: SEC Network
Live Stream: SEC Network Live

Keys to Victory

Georgia’s biggest key in this one which should be a lopsided victory? Stay focused on the task at hand. Don’t get caught looking ahead to the rest of SEC play, namely Florida next week, and continue to dominate in the fashion in which the Bulldogs have been. Georgia is a strong team and it needs to avoid a letdown in an extremely winnable game such as this one.

Missouri needs to keep putting up some monster offensive numbers if it wants to pull off the upset in Athens. Sure, that’s not likely against Georgia’s stingy defense, but the Tigers average 470 yards per game, and that should be a concern for the Bulldogs. Drew Lock must cut down on turnovers in this one, though. It may not matter in the end as the Bulldogs are far more talented. But hey, if Iowa State can beat Oklahoma on the road, anything can happen.

Prediction

Poor Missouri. The Tigers have to go into Athens to face arguably the hottest team in the conference in a night game. It will be the unfriendliest of confines for the Tigers, but such is college football. Nick Chubb and Sony Michel will run wild against Missouri’s lackluster run defense and Jake Fromm will only need a minimal amount of passes to gain a major lead over the Tigers. This one will be over by halftime and we might see some Jacob Eason in the second half.

Final Score: Missouri 10, Georgia 45
