1. Ole Miss will be really good in a year or two

After watching the Rebels on Saturday, it’s clear that this team will be really good soon. The Rebels controlled the game basically from start to finish, despite a tough second quarter in which they allowed 21 points to the Commodores.

The Rebels made the Commodores look silly in the same way that Alabama, Florida and Georgia did and those three have been SEC contenders for the past number of years. Could the Rebels be on that track? It’s possible, but this could be just the start of a confidence boost.

Patterson looks solid under center, Wilkins looked impressive in the backfield, the defense held Kyle Shurmur in check for most of the game and A.J. Brown is starting to look like one of the best wide receivers in college football.

Keep an eye on this young team as the Rebels will be a force to be reckoned with for years to come as they continue to gain maturity and confidence. The SEC shouldn’t be overlooking this team this year as playing spoiler will be its new role.
