Tennessee football head coach Butch Jones still has a job and the Vols fanbase and the national media have made it abundantly clear how they feel about it.

When the Vols were blown out by Georgia at Neyland Stadium two weeks ago it seemed like a formality that Tennessee head coach Butch Jones was done for in Knoxville. Instead, rather than giving the beleaguered coach a pink slip, he was allowed to continue at the helm, for now. Well, that might have been true before he lost to South Carolina on Saturday.

Yet another loss, this time to Will Muschamp and South Carolina, has increased the temperature on Jones’ hot seat from scalding to inferno. It’s becoming harder and harder to distinguish between the differing temperatures of his seat as each weekend seems to bring more and more pressure as the losses mount.

If Jones somehow escapes this weekend without getting shown the door he has to play Alabama next weekend. If Georgia blanked them and scored 41 points, it’s not looking pretty for the Vols against the Crimson Tide.

It’s not like Vols fans needed any more reasons to be through with their current head coach. Still, they took to Twitter on Saturday to voice their opinion about the job that Jones has done at Tennessee. Hint, it’s not good.

Here are a few of the highlights from a Twitter roasting that has been going on for weeks.

You’d better make sure the alerts are turned on through the rest of the weekend on your favorite sports app. The odds of Jones making it to next week continue to dwindle. Regardless of whether or not its weeks, days or hours, it’s safe to say that the Butch Jones era in Tennessee is coming to a close soon. If not, Vols fan might very well break the internet.
