3. Give him all the Love

With just under five minutes to go in the first quarter, Stanford’s Bryce Love already had 115 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.

Not the first half, the first quarter.

Love broke off a 67-yard run against the Oregon defense and the Cardinal never looked back, finishing with 17 carries and 147 yards against a rush defense ranked in the Top-15 coming in.

He ended up with just one carry for five yards after the intermission, as Stanford coaches allowed him to watch from the sideline and enjoy the contest.

That number will change, as Stanford racked up 248 yards in all on the ground.

For Love, it was just another typical day at the office. The 5-foot-10 junior out of North Carolina actually posted his lowest single-game rushing total of the year in the blowout, but that’s just because he wasn’t needed.

Love entered the night with over 1,200 yards on the year and now sits at 1,387 through just seven games. He has scored 11 touchdowns on the ground and also has four receptions for good measure.

While he might not be as versatile as current Carolina Panther Christian McCaffery, in terms of pure running ability, Love is the unquestioned man out west right now.
