5. Goodbye Austin Allen, hello Cole Kelly

Now, I will preface this by saying that Austin Allen is tough as nails. The kid has been knocked around and put through the ringer game after game since he stepped onto the field. However, it is safe to say that his time is up in red and white. After he fell with a shoulder injury a week ago, he was deemed out for the matchup against Alabama.

Enter redshirt freshman Cole Kelly, who you can see Bielema comment on below. The young man was no where near perfect against Alabama, but of course you have to take the rest of his team into consideration. With the lack of help that he has around him, he fought hard and played strong. Even got a touchdown against the Tide — something only Texas A&M has been able to do in the SEC.

Now, I am in no way saying that senior Austin Allen hasn’t given his time and effort unwaveringly to the Razorbacks. But, by numbers and apparent talent, I’d have to let Cole Kelly start the remainder of the season. It is, in my opinion, what is best for the team.
