2. Recruit some strong defenders to help out the offense

Arkansas’ defense lacks the strength and physicality needed to compete at the level that the rest of the SEC West does. They give up control of the field weekly, letting opposing players gash them for big gains both on foot and through the air. They even have allowed Kenny Hill, on two separate teams over the years, gash them and find ways to win. Hill isn’t the most talented of the bunch, but he sure has Arkansas’ number.

The video below shows Bielema talking the lack of physicality and fight the Arkansas defensive front showed against the Aggies earlier in the season. It seems it has been all down hill from there. Many blown coverages and the allowance of a 100-yard kickoff return came back to bite the Hogs as it has for many games before and after this one.

Their commitment list so far includes five defenders from three positions, although with the inevitable coaching change it will be interesting to see how many of them stick around through that. Most of all, this team needs defensive help and bad. Whether that is through recruiting or developing who they have, the Razorbacks need help.
