Ohio State Football: 5 Buckeyes who earned game balls vs. Nebraska
By Jesse Smith
The Buckeyes’ offense was great on Saturday, but so was the defense, so I had to show love to that side of the ball. I gave freshman Amir Riep a game ball and now I’m showing love to senior linebacker Dante Booker. He was flying around north, south, east and west as he finished with a team-high seven tackles on Saturday.
Booker was a main clog in holding the Nebraska offense to 393 total yard and 14 points. Only 44 of the 393 yards were allowed in the running game and they shut out Nebraska in the first half, they scored their 14 points in the third quarter. Honestly, because of the amount of players that got valuable playing time who knows what unit allowed those points.
The Akron, Ohio, native did his thing at Nebraska on Saturday so he is the second member of the defense to get a game ball. Good linebacker play is what Ohio State fans are used to and on Saturday they didn’t have to look further than Booker for a solid performance.
