Winner: TCU Horned Frogs (from No. 6 in the AP Poll to No. 4)

The TCU Horned Frogs are the fourth-ranked team in the AP Poll. It’s been quite the climb for them since starting the season unranked in the opening week poll.

The Horned Frogs are 6-0 and 3-0 in the Big 12. They’ve beaten two ranked conference opponents on their way to gaining the lead in the Big 12 standings. A game with the Oklahoma Sooners still looms on Nov. 11 but their defense doesn’t seemed too worried.

The TCU defense ranks 17th in the FBS in scoring defense, allowing 17.3 points per game through six contests. Their defense has quietly set the tone in games, holding the Arkansas Razorbacks to just seven points back on Sept. 9, on the road.

They’ve kept pace with the offense, which ranks 11th in the FBS in points per game (41.3). Quarterback Kenny Hill continues to play well, throwing for 1,450 passing yards, 11 passing touchdowns and just three interceptions on the season. Hill has limited his turnovers this season and it’s shown in the Horned Frogs’ record.

This week, they face the Kansas Jayhawks in what should be an easy victory for them. Their matchup with Oklahoma will certainly be one to watch with a Big 12 title shot on the line.
