4. Clemson Tigers

The Clemson Tigers lost in Week 7 but they still remain as a threat to make the College Football Playoff. Zerrick Cooper fared well in replacement of quarterback Kelly Bryant, who was knocked out in the first half with a concussion.

The Tigers fell on the road on a rare Friday night game against the Syracuse Orange on a late field goal, 27-24. Cooper threw for 88 passing yards on 10-of-14 passing.

The Clemson offense was carried by running backs Travis Etienne and Tavien Feaster. Etienne ran for 68 rushing yards and a touchdown while Feaster ran for 57 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Bryant was visibly injured all-game and many fans and critics alike felt that he should have been held out of the game. He did throw for 116 passing yards on 12-of-17 passes but he’ll be under concussion protocol next to nursing an injured ankle.

On the bright side, the Tigers have a bye this week, giving them some time to heal from injuries.

The Clemson defense still had six sacks in the game and forced a fumble in the game. They will carry the team in some games going forward but they can still rely on their two-headed monster out of the backfield of Etienne and Feaster. Both have shown they can get the job done when given the carries.
