We are in the thick of SEC football conference play and bye weeks. Upset alerts don’t get a bye, however, as we head into the second half of the season.

Week 7 saw some interesting results, whether they were expected or not. Alabama and Georgia remain undefeated, taking down Arkansas and Missouri respectively. The Crimson Tide continues to be the front-runner and the Bulldogs have seemingly come out of nowhere. Both teams are currently in line for playoff berths.

After an unexpected loss to LSU, Auburn dropped 11 spots to number 21 in both the AP and Coaches Polls. LSU rallied from a 20 point deficit and the defense found a way to shut down Auburn in the second half to push the Tigers to victory.

South Carolina held Tennessee out of their end zone in the final seconds to put a victory on ice for the Gamecocks. However, the win doesn’t look too great on paper for them. Ole Miss and their struggling defense took on the Vanderbilt Commodores. They allowed quite a bit of offense from Vanderbilt, but Shea Patterson and company put up 57 to cruise to victory in Oxford.

Texas A&M once again played from behind to get their first ever victory in the Swamp on Saturday night,19-17, behind the leg of Daniel LaCamera. Finally, Mississippi State was the only team to play outside the conference on Saturday. The Bulldogs dismantled BYU 35-10.

Many teams find themselves on a bye week this week, however there are still five SEC teams in action on Satuday. Here is a look at three who could find themselves in the loss column by the end of the day.
