Now that we are seven weeks into the 2017 Pac-12 football season, we are getting a better idea of who the contenders are.

Everything in the Pac-12 is upside down. Rule No. 1 about the Pac-12  in 2017 is expect the unexpected. Chaos has literally erupted in the nation’s best conference.

With the exception of Oregon State, there is parity in the conference from top to bottom. Ranking these teams has become increasingly difficult due to the slow starts from teams like Stanford and Arizona State, and injuries to the quarterback position at Oregon.

It will be a tight race to the finish line Pac-12 conference championship. Week 8 should prove to be more tame than the last few weeks because only nine of the 12 teams are in action.

Here are your Week 8 Pac-12 power rankings:

This team is in turmoil. So there’s no surprise who is at No. 12 in Week 8. The Beavers and head coach Gary Anderson parted ways abruptly midseason. However, I have to give credit where it’s due. The Beavers actually put up a good fight in their 36-33 loss Week 7 against Colorado. I cannot imagine a scenario that Oregon State wins another game this season.
