The Wildcats are rolling. Khalil Tate was under center and he absolutely destroyed the UCLA Bruins defense. Whether it was running or passing the ball, Arizona was operating on all cylinders. After a slow start to the season the Wildcats still have an opportunity to win the Pac-12 South. This team is severely underestimated and may end up finishing much higher in the Pac-12 power rankings than anyone predicted.

Cal is the only team that could be 4-3 in the Pac-12 and it not be a disappointment. The improvement Justin Wilcox’s team has shown in a few months is major. While the Golden Bears do not have elite talent at many of their positions, they play hard and smart football. Their Week 8 matchup against Arizona may be the difference between going to a bowl game and staying home when all is said and done in the Pac-12.

I have so many questions about this team. How on earth are the Sun Devils 3-3? Most importantly, which team is the real Arizona State? Is it the team that lost to San Diego State and Texas Tech or the team who beat Washington and Oregon? Either way, Arizona State is rolling offensively and defensively. Todd Graham’s coaching hot seat is cooling down with every victory.

Utah is still a very good team. They lost back to back games close against Stanford and USC. It seems Utah is so close to winning the Pac-12 south then a turnover here, or dropped pass there derails them. At some point you believe that Utah will turn the corner from a good team to an elite football team. They still have a chance in the Pac-12 South but they no longer control their own fate.
