3. John O’Korn tosses three picks, again

Michigan’s offensive struggles starts with the difficulties behind center. Wilton Speight seems like a luxury after what former Houston transfer quarterback John O’Korn has looked like so far. In three games of heavy action, O’Korn has tossed one touchdown and four interceptions.

Three of the four interceptions that O’Korn has thrown came against Michigan State. Even though the Spartans could not do anything with all of the turnovers forced from the Wolverines, the offensive struggles signify something more important.

If the run game is not on for Michigan, few to no points are going to be scored. O’Korn had a miserable stat line against Indiana with less than 60 passing yards on 10 completions. He’ll need a better performance against the Nittany Lions.

This Penn State defense has a lot of experience and talent at every level. The Penn State defense picked off Northwestern quarterback Clayton Thorson twice so they can very easily take advantage of mistakes from the opposition.
