Oklahoma Football: 3 bold predictions vs. Kansas State in Week 8
By Shelbie Warr
With a loss to Iowa State, Oklahoma football is now chasing the tail feathers of TCU in the Big 12 race. They will look to gain some ground vs. Kansas State.
Oklahoma was left reeling and full of questions two weeks ago as they fell to Iowa State. The defense played sloppy and struggled to keep Iowa State at bay in the second half, leading to the Sooners first loss of the season. They bounced back, to a point, against Texas but are still looking for the dominance they started the season with.
On the other side, Kansas State is trying to figure it all out. The Wildcats started the season strong, but have become stagnant. Of course, the loss of Jesse Ertz at starting quarterback doesn’t help matters. Ertz is expected to miss between four and six weeks with a knee injury. However, there has been talk of him returning against OU.
No matter who starts, they will have a tall task standing toe to toe with the offensive fire power Baker Mayfield provides. The Kansas State defense will have their hands full with this group.
Oklahoma has had an issue in recent weeks holding a lead they establish. Kansas State will look to exploit that weakness on Saturday. Here are my three bold predictions for the matchup.
