LSU will be in prime upset territory when they face Ole Miss football on Saturday; but just how likely are the Rebels to pull off an upset over their biggest rival? Here are three reasons that Ole Miss can beat LSU.

Ole Miss and LSU are two of the oldest rivals in the SEC. The game is known for many incredible moments such as Billy Canon’s Halloween punt return, Patrick Willis‘ crushing hit on an LSU running back and the game that decided the SEC West in 2003.  It goes without saying that when these two teams meet, records don’t matter and one can expect a good game (except 2011, we don’t count that). There are a laundry list of great game in the rivalry and 2017 should be no different.

LSU is fresh off of an upset win over Auburn, but which LSU team will show up in Oxford? Will it be the team that rallied to beat Auburn? Or will it be the team that got beat by Mississippi State and Troy? That is the biggest factor to look at in this game. Should the latter Tiger team show up, Ole Miss could dominate this game. Even if the better LSU team does show up, Ole Miss still has a chance, albeit a slimmer chance.

Despite the fact that LSU seems improved after the way they responded to Auburn last week, I still don’t think it can be assumed that LSU runs away with this game. They may not even win it. With that said, here are three reasons why the Ole Miss Rebels win this game.
