2. Shea Patterson and Co. put up 28, but it’s not enough

Despite their struggles on defense, the offense has carried Ole Miss this season. Quarterback Shea Patterson, the reigning SEC Offensive Player of the Week, threw for five touchdowns — four passing and one rushing — for 351 yards last week against Vanderbilt and is averaging 355 yards a game. Those numbers are extremely impressive and will do the Rebels a world of good against the Tigers this week.

However, the LSU defense is a heck of a lot tougher than what they saw against Vanderbilt a week ago. This team is coming off a second half shutout of Auburn, who was then a top ten team. Like I said before, that kind of stuff doesn’t happen by accident. LSU has an extremely talented team and will come to Oxford ready to fight and defend the Magnolia Trophy.

I can definitely see Patterson and company putting up 28 on LSU this weekend, four touchdowns. However, I just can’t see it being enough to upset the Tigers who have found their way back into the weekly Top 25 rankings.
