West Virginia Football: 3 bold predictions vs. Baylor in Week 8

West Virginia football kept pace with the top contenders in the Big 12 with a come-from-behind victory vs. Texas Tech last weekend. Now, they must avoid a letdown at winless Baylor Saturday night.

The Mountaineers are one of the top offenses in the nation led by Florida transfer Will Grier at quarterback. West Virginia is averaging 44 points per game and almost 550 yards of total offense.

On the opposite side of the field stands the Bears and new head coach Matt Rhule. The former Temple leader knew he was getting himself into a rough situation, but Rhule has Baylor competing and playing hard despite being behind the proverbial eight-ball.

The Bears will need to catch a lot of breaks if they hope to pull the upset at night in Waco, but they have shown flashes in close calls with Oklahoma and Kansas State earlier this year.

West Virginia has two key games left in the season, as they welcome Oklahoma State next Saturday and travel to Norman to face Oklahoma at the end of the season. However.
