College GameDay is in Happy Valley for Michigan vs. Penn State. Let’s see how the Nittany Lions’ fanbase did with their College GameDay signs.
One of the great things about College GameDay this season is the variety the viewers are getting from one week to the next. Say what you want about the New York City version — and it certainly wasn’t great — it was different. Last week, Lee Corso and the gang were at James Madison for an FCS-matchup between the top-ranked Dukes and Villanova. This week the College GameDay signs will be produced by a traditional college football powerhouse, Penn State.
For as much winning as Penn State has done and how much of a storied program they have been, College GameDay has been there surprisingly few times. The show has only been hosted from Happy Valley five times in its nearly quarter-century run — six times if you count a show that split time between Penn State and North Carolina.
This is College GameDay’s first time back on campus since the Sandusky scandal. Penn State last hosted the show in 2009. The then No. 4 Nittany Lions were upset by the unranked Iowa Hawkeyes. Two years prior, they were beat up on their home field by the top-ranked Buckeyes. Penn State’s last time being showcased on GameDay was in the Big Ten Championship game last season, in which they defeated Wisconsin.
No. 2 Penn State hosts the 19th-ranked Michigan Wolverines. It is not only the featured game on GameDay but ESPN’s primetime game on ABC. The Penn State faithful is hyped to get revenge on the Wolverines after being embarrassed last year in the Big House, 49-10. The fans are so ready they started their white-out nearly 12 hours before they are going to fill Beaver Stadium.

Be sure to check back at the end of the show for Lee Corso’s headgear selection. Can he keep his winning streak alive?
